The company was first granted the ISO certification in 1996. Afterwards, we upgraded it to ISO 9001:2008, and finally, in 2018, we obtained the ISO 9001:2015 certification.
As part of our mission to protect our environment, in 2020 Cavagna also obtained the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Certification.

Cavagna Pressofusioni

Our company has been operating in the zinc alloy die-casting sector since 1993.
Our production plant is divided into two units- one covering a 12,000-sq.m area, and the other one is a well-structured and modern 3,500-sq.m building, with safe and comfortable working environments. Our corporate policy is markedly oriented to meet customers' needs and requirements as well as to respect the environment.

Timeline

1993

Cavagna Pressofusioni is established

1995

An X-ray machine is introduced: a Gilardoni CHF 200S. Cavagna Sistemi is established that very same year

1996

The ISO 9002:1994 certification is obtained.

1997

Cavagna Pressofusioni is constantly expanding and needs new space and equipment. We started to renovate the new premises.

1998

A new press is introduced: an Idra OLZ/40.

1999

Works on the new premises are completed and production begins in December. Another press is introduced the same year: a COLOSIO PFZ 200 + a Fondarex vacuum system.

2000

A sandblasting plant is replaced with three more modern machines:
- a Tosca TG13,
- a Tosca continuous flow TSCHF 500, and
- a Corundum sandblasting blower.

2001

Three new presses comprising a cutting robotic workstation and vacuum systems are introduced.

2002

The mechanical workshop received:
- a Sigma Mission 2 milling machine (3 axes), and
- a Rovella EDM - CDM.

2002

Upgrade to ISO 9001:2000 certification.

2002

The company to manufacture, mould and process plastic materials is established. And so, Bonardi S.r.l. was founded.

2002 - 2003 - 2006

Three new presses comprising a cutting robotic workstation and a Mitutoyo Crysta Apex 776 CMM are introduced.

2012

Two IDRA 40 presses are replaced with
- a Colosio PFZ 200, and
- a Colosio PFZ 250
Both featuring a robotic workstation, cutting and Green Line, an low energy consumption.

2013

The Finishing Department is upgraded with the introduction of a machine designed by Cavagna Pressofusioni for separating burrs from finished parts.
Bonardi S.r.l. becomes Cavagna Polimeri.

2014

The foundry is upgraded with the introduction of a new automated workstation.

2015

Like in the previous year, the foundry is further upgraded when another 2 presses became fully automated.

2018

The ISO 9001:2015 certification is upgraded. In the same year, a machine for checking 100% of the parts made was introduced.

2018

Handover to a new generation.

2019

A year of great changes. After the changeover to the new generation, the following are introduced:
- 2 automated foundry islands.
- 2 automated machining islands.
- 1 CMZ automatic lathe with milling turret and CAM.
- 1 milling machine with 5 axis Emco Famup Maxxmill 630
- 1 Cobot Sawyer robot.

2019

The two companies 'Polimeri' and 'Sistemi' merge into Cavagna Pressofusioni S.r.l. A single production complex is thus created.

2020

The ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Certification is obtained.

2020

Another machine for checking 100% of parts was added as well as a new ABB Yumi robot.

TODAY

We are currently evaluating adding a new press and a new sandblasting system.
